Lizzy McAvoy
Singer / Songwriter
Lizzy is a fifteen-year-old country singer /songwriter who lives in a small central Ohio town just thirty-five miles east of Columbus. Her family is looking to relocate to the Nashville area sometime in 2006. For now traveling is not a problem - schooling through the Internet allows her to travel to Nashville, New York City, and L.A. where she performs and take lessons.
Her first stage performance was at the age of four in summer stock theatre as Molly in the musical "Annie." She has played in several local theatres, performed on national television and is a regular Anthem singer at professional hockey and football games. Critics, directors, and fellow actors have recognized Lizzy for her strong vocal abilities, quick study, and excellent work ethic.
She has a well sought after band made up of local music teachers. The band plays at fairs, festivals, private parties, and charity events. Acoustic, electric guitar, banjo, and piano are her key instruments. Lizzy has Nashville and local studio time under her belt as a singer and player.
Lizzy's main influences are Keith Urban, Patsy Cline, Reba McEntire, and Jonny Lang. She is a proud member of Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), Taxi, and BMI. Her songs are critiqued by some of the industries finest and she co-writes with writers in Nashville and Ohio.
